Southern Pride Equipment Painting (SPEP) has a long history of painting locomotives new and old, big and small, including steam engines. We have also painted some passenger cars and a caboose! What makes us unique is we are able to travel to your location, set up a temporary paint booth, and then apply the paint and decals (which we can print in-house) for a professional result that will last for years to come. Unlike a number of our competitors, our painting process is also done in total compliance with EPA regulations and we are intimately familiar with the regulations of the FRA regarding locomotive paint schemes requirements. Lastly, we are certified by the FRA and are in full compliance with FRA 243 and 219.
